Tenuta Celimarro

Tenuta Celimarro winery is located in Castrovillari, province of Cosenza, and is a member of the Terre di Cosenza PDO Consortium. Following a very ancient history, today it extends over 20 hectares of vineyards and 5 hectares of centuries-old olive groves.

The first nucleus can be traced back to the property of the lawyer Antonio Varcasia, a whimsical and extravagant character who took care of expanding the family palace of the same name, in the city, and the ancient Masseria di Celimarro.

With the death of the lawyer, the lands fell into abandonment and were restored only in 2006, with the enhancement of the replanted native grape varieties (Magliocco, Greco Bianco, Aglianico and Montonico) by the oenologist Valerio Cipolla and under the Celimarro brand. from the name of the district.
