Colacino Wines
The adventure of Colacino Wines was born in the 60s in Marzi, province of Cosenza, from the passion of Vittorio Colacino, a doctor, for his own vineyard and Britto wine, a native vine with an intense aroma of spicy black cherry also mentioned by Mario Soldati in the work, Vino al Vino (1975).
Today the company is managed by the sons, Mauro and Maria Teresa, who have combined the paternal passion with the innovation of a managerial production chain, aimed at reducing the yields per unit through a strict selection of the best grapes during the ripening phase.
Native varieties (Arvino, Greco Nero, Nerello Cappuccio, Magliocco Canino, Mantonico, Greco Bianco, Malvasia Bianca and Pecorello) which give rise to the excellence of Savuto CDO wines, grow from the typical terraced vineyards in Savuto Valley, 500 meters above sea level.
