Frantoio Oleario Ruffa "Prime Bio Farm"
Frantoio Oleario Ruffa "Prime Bio Farm" is located in San Gregorio d'Ippona, in the province of Vibo Valentia.
Vincenzo Ruffa decided to rent some olive groves and open a small oil mill in the 1970s. As the years passed and given the ever-increasing demand, a new facility was opened in 1991, which is the current plant.
The farm covers 50 hectares over the hills of San Gregorio d'Ippona to the Costa degli Dei; the most common cultivars are Ottobratica, Ciciarello, Leccino, Frantoio and Tonda di Filogaso. The production cycle begins by harvesting the olives, which are pressed within 6 hours, followed by processing the oil through the cold extraction method.
Ruffa Oil is an extra virgin olive oil that is produced in three different types: "Privilegio", "Passione" and "Aromatizzato".
Frantoio Oleario Ruffa "Prime Bio Farm" has won several awards and accolades, including international ones.
