Lamezia Terme and surrounding area
Lamezia Terme is a place where the sea, plains, hills and mountains meet, offering white beaches, unique landscapes and breathtaking views. The city was formed in 1968 from the union of the municipalities of Nicastro, Sambiase and Sant'Eufemia Lamezia. Known as the "City of the Plain", it is of considerable importance from an agricultural and commercial point of view; it boasts a lively and renowned cultivation of olives, from which the Lametia PDO Oil is produced, and of vines, from which Lamezia DOC wines are made.
The territory is made up of the municipalities of Lamezia Terme and Curinga.
