ME Restaurant
Just outside the charming town of Pizzo Calabro, along the Costa degli Dei in the province of Vibo Valentia, is the ME Restaurant, housed within the walls of a former country cottage. A warm and welcoming cove in winter, and a cool garden porch during the summer.
Relying on the chef’s inspiration, Giuseppe Romano, means enjoying delicious fish and meat menus based on the seasonal availability of local ingredients. The style is Mediterranean with Calabrian quotes (as well as the Red Tropea Onion-IGP, the Bergamot of Reggio Calabria-DOP, and the local saffron), bells (region of origin of the chef) and some fusion references. Complex and exact when combining and cooking, wisely risky but always well balanced, the kitchen offers tasting seafood and meat menus, in addition to the rich and inviting menu.
The chef’s wife Eleonora supports him and is a pastry chef, as well as an impeccable hostess.
