Lapprodo
Facing the port and the promenade of Vibo Marina (Vibo Valentia), the L’Approdo fish restaurant offers an environment inspired by the maritime tradition, arranged over 3 rooms, with intimate and refined corners. During the summer, the spaces expand into the veranda, which can accommodate up to 70 seatings.
The catch of the day is brought in by local fishermen, and it’s prepared to preserve its organoleptic properties, as per the Pesce Ritrovato project, a project promoting awareness of local fish species consumption (see the Fish Scale Life European project).
At the head of the brigade, chef Agostino Bilotta proposes a philosophy of content, which brings back to an elegant and simple Calabria. In the dining room maître Franco Milia, who is attentive but never intrusive, offers his experience. In the cellar, sommelier Saverio Botta’s fine palate is ready to suggest the best among the 800 local, Italian and foreign labels. There is no shortage of craft beers, teas, infusions and even a good cigar.
