Tenuta del Travale

Tenuta del Travale winery, in Rovito, province of Cosenza, reappropriates a historical tradition by indulging in the natural inclination of a territory devoted to the cultivation of native vines (Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio) for the production of two award-winning Calabria PGI reds with 5 Grappoli Bibenda (2022) and Selezione Vini Rari Gambero Rosso (2022).

Tenuta del Travale was born in 1993, when the owners took over an abandoned land transforming it into two productive hectares on two opposite sides, Maneggio and Amphitheater. A high-quality production where craftsmanship imposes precise choices, under the guidance of the oenologist Emiliano Falsini and the agronomist Stefano Dini.

The small size of the vineyard and the deliberately very limited yield per plant have allowed to contemplate the excellence of only two wines, Eleuteria and Esmén Tetra, which are distinguished by rare and very high characteristics. A rosé (Epicarma) has recently been added to them.
