Società Agricola Riario Sforza

Società Agricola Riario Sforza (the Riario Sforza Agricultural Society) is located in Polistena, in the province of Reggio Calabria.

The origins of the company are very old, dating back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries when various crops began to develop in the territory of Polistena, among which olive trees excelled.

In 1967 Nicola Riario Sforza undertake an innovative farming transformation, renewing plantations and introducing new crops.

A modern olive oil plant was built for the production, processing and marketing of the oil produced on the farm.

Kiwifruit and oranges (in the Ovale, Biondo Comune, Navel, etc. varieties) crops stand-out among the new cultures added in recent years.

Società Agricola Riario Sforza for some years now has been engaged in the establishment of a receptive structure: the Riario Sforza Estate, an agritourism born from the renovation of an 18th-century farm, located in the locality of Castellace in the municipality of Galatro.
