Policastro Srl - Pollino Oil Mill

Policastro Srl is located over the hills of the municipality of Frascineto, in the province of Cosenza.

The company was founded in the 50s when Michele Policastro created the first winery and undertook the production of wine. Over the years he has also approached the oleic sector, building the first stone crusher oil mill.

The olives are harvested by hand and directly from the tree when they have reached the right ripeness; they are then selected, crushed and cold pressed.  At last, the storage and bottling steps are completed.

In 2008 Policastro Srl was established in 2008 and, besides producing oil and wine, it also deals with agri-food products marketing: dairy products, cold cuts, pickles, honey.
