Azienda Agricola Vulcano
The Azienda Agricola Vulcano is located in the town of Crosia, in the province of Cosenza.
In 1970 Luigi Vulcano bought the land on which he then built his farm. The business grew year by year, reconciling traditional values with the most modern techniques of oil cultivation. The farm is completely organic.
60 hectares is the area of land that covers the farm and is divided as follows: 45 allocated to olive growing, 15 to arable farming and 1 to fruit growing.
Harvesting by hand the Carolea, Tondina and Dolce di Rossano varieties is done between October and November; then olives are processed with the cold extraction technique.
In 2002, nestled among centuries-old olive groves in the hills of Mirto Crosia, the Agriturismo Vulcano was born with 19 rooms, a swimming pool and a restaurant - called "Il Colle degli Ulivi" - where you can enjoy healthy, natural products and typical Calabrian cuisine.
The Vulcano Farm also offers authentic experiences such as tastings of olive oil and typical products, cooking classes, tours of the olive grove, orchard and farm, and olive harvesting.
