La Locanda di Alia

La Locanda di Alia is a historic, family restaurant in the center of Castrovillari, in the province of Cosenza. At the foot of the Pollino mountains, surrounded by beautiful ancient olive trees, the restaurant offers a classic setting, with two rooms decorated with wall paintings by the artist Luigi Le Voci, and contemporary paintings by Renato De Marco. 

The self-taught chef Gaetano Alia carries on the family project with determination, focused on selected service and carefully chosen local ingredients. The cuisine evens out tradition and innovation, with well balanced and never predictable combinations recipes of the regional tradition are revisited and lightened. 

The menu varies according to the seasonal produce and the inspiration of the chef, who cares to preserve and enhance authentic flavors and aromas of Calabria in his dishes.
