In Serrastretta, province of Catanzaro, the family of the patron Delfino Maruca welcomes you in the tavern Il Vecchio Castagno, named after the centuries-old tree at the foot of the property.
Awarded with the Slow Food Snail, the kitchen shows attention to the territory and to its guests, recovering tradition and local and branded materials.
Among the specialties of the house: aubergines of the Madonna as an appetizer; Fileja with sausage ragout, linguine with fennel pesto and walnuts, tagliatelle with nettles with porcini mushrooms, borage gnocchi and tonnarelli with chestnut flour; among the main courses and appetizers, pork with chestnuts and juniper berries, potatoes 'mpacchiate with mushrooms and zucchini stuffed with rice.
