Il Carpaccio

Equipped with a panoramic lounge-veranda overlooking the green valley of Acri, in the province of Cosenza, the trattoria Il Carpaccio is a reference point for traditional family catering. 

Inside, simple elements combine to make you feel at home. The menu of the day can be consulted on a blackboard by the entrance, listing the typical home-made Calabrian specialties that you can order: from cheeses to cold cuts, passing through the great variety of vegetables and aromatic-herbs from the home-grown garden; the owners themselves take care of the gardening.

Among the specialties to try-out: lagane and cici (typical Calabrian pasta with chick-peas), tagliolini pasta with wild asparagus and guanciale (herb-spiced jowls), black suckling pig with porcini mushrooms, sautéed food and “bocconotti” (blueberry-filled pastry) for dessert, all accompanied by a well-endowed wine cellar
