Gelato Cesare
At the beginning of the Lungomare Falcomatà in Reggio Calabria is the Cesare ice-cream kiosk, open since 1918.
It starts with the great classics for those who do not like to experiment and it goes on to the more unusual ones, such as the Italico flavour with ricotta, figs and raisin wine or Scassata Regina, with ricotta, marzipan variegated with pieces of Sicilian cannoli.
Desserts are also part of the offer; worthy of note is the Torta Sole dello Stretto with Sicilian almond, a soft heart of apple and Reggio Calabria bergamot and pistachio, in honour of the Strait connecting Calabria and Sicily.
