S. Anna di Isola Capo Rizzuto PDO

S. Anna di Isola Capo Rizzuto PDO includes two types of wine: Red and Rosé.

The production area, mainly flat, has its core in the village of Sant'Anna (fraction of Isola Capo Rizzuto), but also partly affects the municipalities of Crotone and Cutro.

S. Anna di Isola Capo Rizzuto wines - both red and rosé - are obtained from grapes from vineyards with the following ampelographic compositions: Gaglioppo 40-60%, Nocera, Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Malvasia Nera, Malvasia Bianca, Greco Bianco alone or jointly 40-60% with a maximum presence of white grape varieties not exceeding 35% of the total.

S. Anna di Isola Capo Rizzuto PDO Red has a red colour, which varies according to the degree of ageing, with a well-defined purplish tip; S. Anna di Isola Capo Rizzuto PDO Rosé has a pink colour that varies from the softest tones of the rose petal to the more intense ones of the coral. The minimum total alcoholic strength by volume in both is 12% vol.
