Tenuta Iuzzolini
Historic brand of Calabrian viticulture, Tenuta Iuzzolini covers a total area of about 500 hectares (100 of which are planted with vineyards), in Cirò Marina area, province of Crotone, where Cirò PDO and Calabria PGI wines are produced.
The quality of wines and the authoritativeness of the company's history raise the prestige of the production all over the world. Among the plots Timpa Bianca, Motta and Niballo grow both the native vines (Greco Bianco, Gaglioppo, Magliocco and Pecorello), which give rise to the finest identity wines, and the international vines devoted to Chardonnay.
The cellar, in Fego-Frassà, is the place where tradition embraces innovation, using the latest generation highly efficient machinery, for a total capacity of 20,000 hectoliters and a production of over two million bottles a year. The fine wines of Tenuta Iuzzolini are aged and kept in french oak barriques, in the quiet of the ancient cellar built entirely underground, at a depth of 5 metres.
The company has a suggestive location for tastings, which can also be booked for meetings, conferences, and cultural events. Inside the estate it is also possible to visit a museum of ancient trades equipped with an agricultural-themed library.
