Cantine Lavorata
Cantine Lavorata winery, in Roccella Ionica, province of Reggio Calabria, carries on a long family tradition, which has always selected the best native Calabrian grapes (Gaglioppo, Greco Nero, Greco Bianco, Guardavalle, Malvasia, Ansonica and Greco di Bianco), and the best national and international grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Nero d'Avola, Inzolia, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay) to produce quality branded wines.
Luigi Lavorata, progenitor of the family, started the business in mid-nineteenth century. Today the grandchildren, Domenico (son of Ilario), Adele, Danilo and Domenico (son of Vincenzo), have led the company to be synonymous with excellence in Italy and abroad.
The synergistic work of the family and the expansion of the vineyards in different geographical and climatic areas of Calabria and in some of Sicily are the basis of numerous awards achieved on a total of 22 different labels, which also include Cirò and Bivongi PDO and Calabria wines PGI.
