Borgo Piazza Country Farm

Born from the foresight of Peppino Ponterio and his wife Elda, now inherited by their children and grandchildren, Borgo Piazza farmhouse is located in the hilly hamlet of Borgia, province of Catanzaro.

The panoramic estate overlooks Gulf of Squillace for 44 hectares and is surrounded by certified organic crops and synergistic vegetable gardens (citrus fruits, black cherries, almonds, medlars, prickly pears, mulberries, grapes, fejoie, lotus figs), surrounded by paths that can be travelled among Aleppo pines, oaks, eucalyptus, and cork trees.

The main productions of the company concern organic extra virgin olive oil from cold pressing; sauces and preserves in oil; organic honey; jams, jellies, juices, and fruit purees for children. Kids are invited all year round, with families and schools, to participate in the Environmental Education workshops organized by the Educational Farm, while adults can stay in any season in "holiday-work" formula.

Hospitality is ensured in the village, inside a restored 19th-century farmhouse, or in a special camper area for enthusiasts or in villas overlooking the sea along Bay of Caminia. In-house restaurant offers traditional recipes based on home-grown ingredients.
