Il Tipico Calabrese

Il Tipico Calabrese trattoria is located in Cardeto, one of the towns of the Aspromonte National Park, in the province of Reggio Calabria. 

The idea of patron Marcello, shared by the whole family, is focused on creating a path capable of involving the guest in the places and cultural and gastronomic traditions of the  Greeks of Calabria linguistic minority (Aspromonte Greek area). This is the spirit that awarded the trattoria with the coveted Slow Food Snail.

Among the main dishes on the menu: patrinostreda with beans  and  wild herbs, stewed lamb, fried pork ribs with onions and smoked pork shank. All accompanied by the excellent local wine, according to the suggestions of the Enoteca Regionale Casa dei Vini di Calabria.
