Greco di Bianco PDO

Greco di Bianco PDO includes only Passito Bianco (White Raisin Wine) type of wine.

The production area of ​​Greco di Bianco PDO includes the territory of the municipality of Bianco and part of that of the municipality of Casignana, in the Province of Reggio Calabria.

To produce this wine, partially dried grapes are used, placed on racks in the sun or in forced air dryers. Afterwards the grapes are subjected to crushing and pressing. The reference vine to produce Greco di Bianco is Greco, which must be present in the vineyards for no less than 95%. The remaining part (maximum 5%) can be made up of other white berried grapes, provided they are cultivated in Calabria.

This PDO product has a straw yellow colour with amber reflections, an ethereal bouquet, a flavour tending towards liqueur and a minimum total alcoholic strength by volume of 17% vol. Greco di Bianco PDO Passito (Raisin Wine) is a dessert Wine.
