Morano Castle

The origins of the castle date back to Roman times. Theater of numerous historical episodes, among the many we remember the War of the Vespers and the bombing by the French army during the Napoleonic period (1806).

The current forms suggest the shape of the 18th century: square plan, surrounded by six cylindrical towers and surrounded by ravelins and a moat with a drawbridge. It was three stories high and was made up of large rooms divided into several apartments.
