Former Convent of St Clare

Two sides of the building that housed Convent of Clares are visible from one of the three scenic squares of the town, Largo Rupe. Its construction was made by Msgr. Tommaso Calvi, in 1614. Desecrated and looted in 1806 by Napoleon's troops, Monastery was closed two years later and subsequently taken over by Giacinto Zupi.
