Ducal Palace and Norman Tower of Lacconia

In the area of S. Giovanni di Acconia stand the ruins of the ancient Ducal Palace, a Baroque construction with granite ashlar work. The main façade still shows the remains of a tall turret used as a temporary prison. Also known as the Palace of Queen Sancia, natural daughter of King Alfonso II, it was an important territorial feud.
