Devil's Bridge

One of Civita's main attractions and a symbol of the Pollino National Park, it is visited by thousands of tourists every year. The Devil's Bridge with a single arch on a donkey's back at an altitude of 260 m above sea level on the Raganello, is a daring work of engineering and an excellent observation post. Its origins are lost in the mists of time, and it has certainly been present in the Civita area since the Middle Ages, but some scholars hypothesise an even older construction.
