Church of St Catherine
Part of a monumental complex that includes the Oratory of St. Anne, the Church of St. Catherine was subject to reconstruction following the earthquakes of 1638 and 1783. The granite entrance portal is preceded by a large gallery. The interior has a single nave with a square-based apse and it is decorated with Baroque stucco work. The high altar is in polychrome marble, of the 18th-century Neapolitan school; behind it is a wooden statue of St. Catherine the Virgin, a 16th-century martyr. There are also 18th-century wooden and marble altars.
