Arvo Lake
Lake Arvo is an artificial lake, created between 1927 and 1931 for the purpose of creating a hydroelectric reservoir. Today it lends itself well to rowing competitions and trout, perch, eels, tench and carp live in its waters. Throughout the year, it is possible to spot the Herring Gull, which ascends from the marinas to the heart of the Sila, through the river valleys, to nest on a small island in the municipality of Aprigliano.
