National Symposium on the Conservation of Ancient Seeds and Agricultural Biodiversity

On 7 April 2025, the RiMuseum of Unical (University of Calabria) in Rende will host an important event dedicated to the protection of agricultural biodiversity: the National Symposium on the Conservation of Ancient Seeds and Agricultural Biodiversity. The event, organised by the Scientific Association Biologists without Borders and the PerBenessere Association, aims to raise awareness on the importance of preserving traditional agricultural varieties, which are fundamental for the sustainability of agriculture and global food security.

The day will be marked by two in-depth sessions:
Morning (10:00 am) - Talks by agricultural experts, academics and institutional representatives who will analyse the role of biodiversity in the sustainability of agriculture.
Afternoon (2.30 pm) - Thematic workshops, exhibition of scientific posters and demonstration activities dedicated to the valorisation of ancient seeds and traditional agricultural practices.
